IPL 2027 Squads: Current Player Lists for All 10 Teams
The final IPL 2027 squads have not been announced, but completed trades have changed the current player pools. CSK have added Livingstone and Edwards, while SRH have signed Khaleel and Ellis alongside Natarajan. Delhi have brought in Pant and Ansari, and Lucknow have added Kuldeep. Retentions, releases and the December auction will settle the final lists.

Completed Trades Affecting IPL 2027 Squads
| Player | Previous team | New team | Announced league fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rishabh Pant | Lucknow Super Giants | Delhi Capitals | ₹15 crore |
| Kuldeep Yadav | Delhi Capitals | Lucknow Super Giants | ₹13.50 crore |
| T Natarajan | Delhi Capitals | Sunrisers Hyderabad | ₹5 crore |
| Zeeshan Ansari | Sunrisers Hyderabad | Delhi Capitals | ₹40 lakh |
| Liam Livingstone | Sunrisers Hyderabad | Chennai Super Kings | ₹6 crore |
| Jack Edwards | Sunrisers Hyderabad | Chennai Super Kings | ₹3 crore |
| Khaleel Ahmed | Chennai Super Kings | Sunrisers Hyderabad | ₹4.8 crore |
| Nathan Ellis | Chennai Super Kings | Sunrisers Hyderabad | ₹2 crore |
Chennai Super Kings Squad Pool
Chennai Super Kings enter the 2027 build with Ruturaj Gaikwad as their latest captain and Zaheer Khan as the new head coach. The 25-player list below is the contracted IPL 2026 baseline used to track CSK’s retention and auction decisions. It does not include short-term replacement additions from that season.
| Role | Players |
|---|---|
| Wicketkeepers | MS Dhoni, Sanju Samson, Urvil Patel |
| Batters | Ruturaj Gaikwad, Dewald Brevis, Ayush Mhatre, Sarfaraz Khan, Kartik Sharma |
| All-round options | Shivam Dube, Ramakrishna Ghosh, Aman Hakim Khan, Prashant Veer, Matthew Short |
| Spin bowlers | Noor Ahmad, Rahul Chahar, Shreyas Gopal, Akeal Hosein |
| Pace and seam bowlers | Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Choudhary, Gurjapneet Singh, Anshul Kamboj, Nathan Ellis, Jamie Overton, Zak Foulkes, Matt Henry |
Zaheer Khan takes charge of a group combining experienced players with younger batting options. MS Dhoni has not confirmed his 2027 participation; his latest comments indicate that a fitness assessment will inform that decision.
Delhi Capitals Squad Pool After the Pant Trade
Delhi Capitals have added Pant and Ansari, while Kuldeep and Natarajan have left through separate exchanges. The reference group below incorporates both transactions. DC’s final retained list and auction additions remain pending.
| Role | Delhi Capitals reference players |
|---|---|
| Wicketkeepers and wicketkeeper-batters | KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Abishek Porel |
| Batting options | Ashutosh Sharma, David Miller, Karun Nair, Nitish Rana, Pathum Nissanka, Prithvi Shaw, Sahil Parakh, Sameer Rizvi, Tristan Stubbs |
| All-round and spin options | Axar Patel, Ajay Mandal, Madhav Tiwari, Rehan Ahmed, Tripurana Vijay, Vipraj Nigam, Zeeshan Ansari |
| Pace options | Auqib Nabi, Dushmantha Chameera, Kyle Jamieson, Lungi Ngidi, Mitchell Starc, Mukesh Kumar |
This 25-name reference group includes the completed Pant and Ansari trades. Rehan Ahmed joined during 2026 as Ben Duckett’s replacement; his appearance in that season’s group is not confirmation of a retained 2027 contract. Delhi’s final list remains subject to the November 17 decisions and December auction.
Gujarat Titans Squad Pool
Gujarat Titans retain a recognisable core built around Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Rashid Khan and a varied pace attack. Two names in the latest playing group arrived as IPL 2026 replacements and therefore need to be separated from the original contract list.
| Role | Players |
|---|---|
| Batters and wicketkeepers | Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler, Shahrukh Khan, Glenn Phillips, Anuj Rawat, Kumar Kushagra, Connor Esterhuizen |
| All-rounders | Rahul Tewatia, Washington Sundar, Jason Holder, Nishant Sindhu, Manav Suthar, Jayant Yadav |
| Bowlers | Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Sai Kishore, Ishant Sharma, Arshad Khan, Gurnoor Brar, Ashok Sharma, Luke Wood, Kulwant Khejroliya |
Connor Esterhuizen replaced Tom Banton, while Kulwant Khejroliya replaced Prithviraj Yarra during IPL 2026. They are part of the latest active reference pool, not automatic 2027 retentions. No Gujarat Titans player has been part of a completed IPL 2027 trade at this stage.
Kolkata Knight Riders Squad Pool
The KKR reference below starts from the 2026 auction squad, with Ajinkya Rahane removed following his July 30 retirement from all forms of cricket. It is not the final 2027 retained list. Mustafizur Rahman’s earlier release and the injury-replacement contracts are separate from this historical auction baseline.
| Role | KKR 2026 auction-baseline names, excluding retired Rahane |
|---|---|
| Batting and finishing options | Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Manish Pandey, Rahul Tripathi, Rinku Singh, Rovman Powell |
| Wicketkeepers | Finn Allen, Tejasvi Singh, Tim Seifert |
| All-round options | Anukul Roy, Cameron Green, Daksh Kamra, Rachin Ravindra, Ramandeep Singh, Sarthak Ranjan, Sunil Narine |
| Bowling options | Akash Deep, Harshit Rana, Kartik Tyagi, Matheesha Pathirana, Prashant Solanki, Umran Malik, Vaibhav Arora, Varun Chakaravarthy |
Mustafizur is not included in the current reference list because he was released before IPL 2026. Blessing Muzarabani, Navdeep Saini, Saurabh Dubey and Luvnith Sisodia appeared through subsequent squad changes. Their 2026 participation and the injuries to the original players do not, by themselves, establish the 2027 retained contracts. KKR’s new captain has not been announced.
Lucknow Super Giants Squad Pool After the Kuldeep Trade
Lucknow Super Giants have added Kuldeep Yadav and transferred Rishabh Pant to Delhi Capitals. That changes both the spin department and the leadership picture. LSG have not announced their IPL 2027 captain.
| Role | Players |
|---|---|
| Wicketkeepers | Nicholas Pooran, Josh Inglis, Mukul Choudhary |
| Batters | Abdul Samad, Aiden Markram, Akshat Raghuwanshi, Himmat Singh, Matthew Breetzke |
| All-rounders | Arshin Kulkarni, Ayush Badoni, George Linde, Shahbaz Ahmed, Mitchell Marsh |
| Bowlers | Akash Singh, Anrich Nortje, Arjun Tendulkar, Avesh Khan, Digvesh Singh Rathi, Kuldeep Yadav, M Siddharth, Mayank Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Mohsin Khan, Naman Tiwari, Prince Yadav |
Kuldeep gives Lucknow a proven left-arm wrist-spinner alongside several Indian pace options. Pant’s departure leaves the franchise with Nicholas Pooran and Josh Inglis as its leading wicketkeeping choices in the current pool. Captaincy and the exact overseas combination remain open until LSG issue their 2027 decisions.
Mumbai Indians Squad Pool
The table uses Mumbai’s 25-player squad assembled after the 2026 auction, rather than combining that squad with every injury replacement. It remains a reference list pending retention decisions.
| Role | MI 2026 auction-baseline players |
|---|---|
| Batters and wicketkeepers | Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Ryan Rickelton, Quinton de Kock, Robin Minz, Sherfane Rutherford, Danish Malewar |
| All-round options | Hardik Pandya, Naman Dhir, Will Jacks, Mitchell Santner, Corbin Bosch, Shardul Thakur, Raj Angad Bawa, Atharva Ankolekar, Mayank Rawat |
| Bowlers | Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar, AM Ghazanfar, Mayank Markande, Ashwani Kumar, Raghu Sharma, Mohammad Izhar |
Krish Bhagat, Keshav Maharaj, Mahipal Lomror and Ruchit Ahir joined through 2026 replacement signings. Their contracts need to be distinguished from the original squad when the 2027 lists are announced. Hardik has not completed a trade, and Rohit’s reported captaincy return has not been officially announced.
Punjab Kings Squad Pool
Punjab Kings have Shreyas Iyer as their latest captain and a current group that covers power batting, left-arm pace, wrist-spin and several all-round combinations. PBKS have not completed an IPL 2027 trade.
| Role | Players |
|---|---|
| Batters and wicketkeepers | Shreyas Iyer, Prabhsimran Singh, Shashank Singh, Priyansh Arya, Pyla Avinash, Suryansh Shedge, Harnoor Singh, Vishnu Vinod |
| All-rounders | Marcus Stoinis, Nehal Wadhera, Marco Jansen, Azmatullah Omarzai, Musheer Khan, Cooper Connolly, Mitchell Owen |
| Bowlers | Harpreet Brar, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Xavier Bartlett, Pravin Dubey, Lockie Ferguson, Yash Thakur, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Ben Dwarshuis, Vishal Nishad |
The strongest continuity points are the Indian batting group and the Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal and Harpreet Brar bowling core. Overseas slots and fitness assessments may still affect the auction plan, so the pool should not be labelled Punjab’s final 2027 squad.
Rajasthan Royals Squad Pool
Rajasthan Royals have Riyan Parag as their latest captain and a young Indian batting base featuring Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The list below uses the 25-player contractual baseline and leaves out temporary replacements.
| Role | Players |
|---|---|
| Batters and wicketkeepers | Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, Shubham Dubey, Donovan Ferreira, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, Ravi Singh, Aman Rao Perala |
| All-rounders | Riyan Parag, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, Yudhvir Singh |
| Bowlers | Jofra Archer, Ravi Bishnoi, Sandeep Sharma, Tushar Deshpande, Nandre Burger, Kwena Maphaka, Adam Milne, Kuldeep Sen, Sushant Mishra, Vignesh Puthur, Brijesh Sharma, Yash Raj Punja |
Rajasthan’s current mix has multiple left-handed batters, two experienced international all-rounders and several pace profiles. No RR player is involved in the completed Pant and Kuldeep transaction, and no other Royals trade has been finalised for IPL 2027.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru Squad Pool
Royal Challengers Bengaluru retain Rajat Patidar as their latest captain and Virat Kohli in the current player pool. RCB have not completed a player trade for IPL 2027.
| Role | Players |
|---|---|
| Batters and wicketkeepers | Rajat Patidar, Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Tim David, Phil Salt, Jitesh Sharma, Jordan Cox |
| All-rounders | Venkatesh Iyer, Krunal Pandya, Romario Shepherd, Jacob Bethell, Mangesh Yadav, Kanishk Chouhan, Satvik Deswal, Vicky Ostwal, Vihaan Malhotra |
| Bowlers | Josh Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yash Dayal, Rasikh Salam Dar, Suyash Sharma, Swapnil Singh, Nuwan Thushara, Jacob Duffy, Abhinandan Singh |
The current group gives RCB several opening combinations and a blend of Indian and overseas pace. Any claim that Virat Kohli has left Bengaluru or that another major signing is complete needs an official transaction before it belongs in a 2027 squad list.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Squad Pool
This reference starts with SRH’s 25-player 2026 auction squad and reflects the completed Natarajan-Ansari trade. It is not the final IPL 2027 squad.
| Role | SRH reference players |
|---|---|
| Wicketkeepers | Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen, Salil Arora |
| Specialist batting options | Travis Head, Aniket Verma, Smaran Ravichandran |
| All-round and spin-batting options | Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Liam Livingstone, Kamindu Mendis, Shivang Kumar, Harsh Dubey, Krains Fuletra, Jack Edwards |
| Pace and seam options | Pat Cummins, T Natarajan, Harshal Patel, Jaydev Unadkat, Eshan Malinga, Sakib Hussain, Praful Hinge, Onkar Tarmale, Brydon Carse, Shivam Mavi |
| Other bowling option | Amit Kumar |
David Payne, Gerald Coetzee, Dilshan Madushanka and RS Ambrish joined through 2026 injury replacements. Coetzee replaced Payne after Payne’s ankle injury. These signings are separate from the auction baseline; neither replacement appearances nor the original players’ injuries settle the 2027 retention decisions. Livingstone remains an SRH player while trade discussions continue.
What Will Turn These Pools Into Final IPL 2027 Squads
The player lists will change in a clear sequence. First, franchises will settle any further trades and submit retained and released players. Those decisions will determine available squad places and auction purses. The IPL 2027 mini auction will then fill open roles, after which late withdrawals or injuries may create replacement signings.
Under the current auction-cycle rules, a franchise squad can contain up to 25 players. A replacement does not permanently enlarge that limit, and a player who covered an injury in 2026 should not be carried into a 2027 list without a later contract decision.
The next contract decisions are due on November 17. Registration closes on November 23, the final auction register is scheduled for December 3, and franchises bid in Goa on December 16. Retained players, approved trades and auction purchases will determine the final squad lists; previous-season replacements remain a separate contract question.
